A Warrior's Faith: Navy SEAL Ryan Job by Robert Vera, a biography. It's funny, heartbreaking, and life changing, for me. I underlined and starred bits that touched my soul. This made me laugh:
Ryan was proud of his slow and steady, "deliberate" pace. He once told me that he had the speed of an narcoleptic sloth.
It also told me that though Ryan didn't fit the "ideal" SEAL in body, he did in spirit. In the end, that's all that mattered. As the Bible says, Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. It applies to me too. I will never be the same after reading this book. A keeper.
Christian stories of broken souls finding God and romance Jesus never promised a life of sweetness and nice; He promises hope. The weakest flame is stronger than the dark.

Musical Thursday
Sometimes, I'll check something on YouTube because it was posted on social media, and then I end up listening for another hour. Happened when The Piano Guys posted a link to one of their numbers on their latest album. "A Thousand Years" is on Uncharted, their newest album. I need to buy it; added it to my Wish List.

Fostered by Love series by Kimberly Rae Jordan ties into her Callaghans and McFaddens series. Each book is a stand along, but characters are interwoven throughout. She writes the kind of books I love to read and hope I write.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Have you read the first year, 2014, of the Holiday, USA series?
Tough Luck
Tough Luck
The fourth novella in the series is finally here...
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Holiday's playboy, Brent Kelly, returns home a changed man, if only everyone would believe him. The First Annual Tough Luck Run offers him the opportunity to prove he turned over a new leaf.
Cindy Garvey has worked hard her whole life, and now she is preparing to move from employee to business owner with her best friend. The last thing she needs is one more surprise in her life.
God provides the way to Happily Ever After, no matter how far astray His children wander...

"Far Above Rubies" by George MacDonald is a love story. Born 10 December 1824, in Scotland, he passed away 18 September 1905, in England. As I read, I felt touched by a kindred spirit and couldn't help but wonder if we somewhere share the same family line. Reading his book was like coming home, finding a bit of myself in his words.
