Monday Quote

Sea otters hold hands while they sleep so the current can't separate them. They call it rafting -- whole families floating together, paws linked, drifting through the night as one. No otter taught a class on it. It's just what love looks like when you live on moving water. And don't we all live on moving water? Time pulls, life drifts, currents come. Hold hands with your people on purpose -- the Sunday call, the standing dinner, the goodnight text. It's not sentimental. It's seamanship. ~ amazingQuotesWorld

In English we say:

"I'm trying to trust the process."

In poetry we say:

"I'm planting seeds in the dark and believing they'll find the sun."

~ unknown

- I found several variations with no one cited.

I found this version on Nuggets of Gold https://joyroses13.wordpress.com/2026/08/11/tuesdays-thoughts-558/

I needed the reminder:

If you think you've blown God's plan for your life,

rest in this:

You, my beautiful friend, are not that powerful.

Monday Quote

I heard this story/parable years and years ago. I looked for an original but found nothing. I think it more and more relevant every day.

A king went to visit a faraway country. On the journey, he met Death along the way.

Death told him, "I'm on my way to your kingdom with a plague."

The king accepted the proclamation and asked, "How many will you take?"

"Five hundred."

"So be it." The king sorrowed as he went on his way but knew he could change nothing. However, when he returned to his kingdom 5,000 were dead. He confronted Death and demanded, "You said you would only take 500."

"I did as I said," replied Death. "Fear took the rest."
