Ruth 2:7
And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
Christian stories of broken souls finding God and romance Jesus never promised a life of sweetness and nice; He promises hope. The weakest flame is stronger than the dark.

Chance for Home (Chance 2) by Traci Hunter Abramson Inspirational romance. In one scene, the main couple visit a restaurant, in Phoenix, where the entire staff dressed in costumes and stayed in character. I was transported back decades to Bobby McGee's. Taking a trip down memory lane, I discovered it is now Bobby Q. I may have to go sometime, for fun. I love the characters and the story.

A chapter and a half left to edit. Being a caregiver has changed my writing time. I'm endeavoring to remember that God created times and seasons. Right now is my season to be a caregiver. I'm not giving up on my writing, but I'm also working hard to give it to God. Being a survivor, I value being in control. God's teaching me to give control to Him.

All gave some. Some gave all.
It is on this day that we remember those who gave all.
May God bless their family and friends.

I'm so close to being finished and yet so far. I've less than 17 pages to go. My hope is to finish and prepare for publishing by the end of June. It's the first time I will publish a paperback under Kindle, since it took over Create Space. I'm nervous. I'm always nervous doing something new. "Feel the fear and do it anyway." I read that book decades ago and still recite it in my head.

I used "train of thought" and worried the idiom wasn't in use in the early 1800s, since trains, such as railways, weren't yet in use. However, a little research revealed that "train of thought" was first used in 1651 by Thomas Hobbes. Learned something new.

Rising Star (Coastal Hearts series 4) by Janet W. Ferguson contemporary Christian romance. This book wasn't anywhere on my list until I read an short excerpt and saw a familiar song title, "Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits." I waited for the book to be released and bought it. I laughed and cried and loved the story. Star and Paul struggle like most Christians. Life isn't sweet or nice. They have tough lessons to learn. They each reminded me of myself and my own struggles. I loved the visit to Ireland and the peek into the missionary work in Africa. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Janet W. Ferguson.

Monday Quote
I do not sit down at my desk to put into verse something that is already clear in my mind.
If it were clear in my mind, I should have no incentive or need to write about it.
We do not write in order to be understood; we write in order to understand.
~ C. S. Lewis
