The girl who seemed unbreakable broke.
She dropped the fake smile and whispered, "Jesus, I can't do this anymore."
And He replied,
"Daughter, I never wanted you to,
I've been waiting for you to let Me carry you."

Sunday Scripture
Esther 8:7-8 and 15-17
Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews. Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.
And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour. And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day...

Ready for Thanksgiving?
Celebrate with a story.
Giving Thanks
The eleventh novella in the series...
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Eight years ago, Michelle Bronson ran away. Returning Thanksgiving Eve will allow her to settle before anyone knows she's home. Accepting Jesus made her new, but the past won't stay buried. She's strong enough to face it. She must, if she wants to embrace life. Maybe assistant baker at Holiday Sweets is the open door she's seeking.
Theodore Williams III lived his life as Mr. Straight as an Arrow. He remembers Michelle, along with his harsh judgment of her, but she's not what he expected. The choice is his to hold to what he knew or to embrace the new. Perhaps God is opening a door to the future.
Placing God first opens doors never imagined...
All four novellas, 9-12, are available in their entirety in paperback, including the covers on the back, for those who enjoy collecting a series.

Sunday Scripture
Esther 8:1-6
On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews. Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king, And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Favorite Book Friday
The Next Right Thing by Emily P. Freeman. It's the first time I've used my Amazon Library. The book was recommended by friends going through similar situations to mine. I'm overwhelmed by all the decisions I have to make right now. And yet, when this all started the message ringing in my heart was "Just take the next step. Don't think about anything else, just take the next step." The book gave logic order to the chaos of how to self-analyze.

Sunday Scripture
Esther 7:7-10
And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king. Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face. And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

Tuesday Tidbit
Done! With current edits. I want to submit the manuscript to a publisher, which requires shortening it and following their formatting requirements. Formatting is done. Time to cut 10K words to meet the length preference. I'm nervous. If it's reject, it's back to self publishing. Won't know if I don't try. The worst they can say is no. Won't be the first time. I've survived so far.

Monday Quote
Practice being brave, every day. Try a new food. Give a smile to a stranger. Let someone go ahead of you in line. Do a little more in your workout. Bravery is rarely a single big event but rather a bunch of little moments, encouraging growth. Keep practicing. You may never be asked to rescue anyone, but God will give you opportunities so glorify Him, often in unexpected ways. He provided the ram for Abraham and Isaac and parted the Red Sea. Bravery is a God-given gift. Like all God's gifts, it's meant to be used.

Sunday Scripture
Esther 7:3-6
Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
