Christian stories of broken souls finding God and romance Jesus never promised a life of sweetness and nice; He promises hope. The weakest flame is stronger than the dark.

Monday Quote
Joy is prayer—
Joy is strength—
Joy is love—
Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls—

Sunday Scripture
1 Timothy 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Timothy 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Titus 1:1-4
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Sunday Scripture
1 Thessalonians 1:1-5
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
2 Thessalonians 1:1-2
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you ready?
Celebrate with a story.
Giving Thanks
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Eight years ago, Michelle Bronson ran away. Returning Thanksgiving Eve will allow her to settle before anyone knows she's home. Accepting Jesus made her new, but the past won't stay buried. She's strong enough to face it. She must, if she wants to embrace life. Maybe assistant baker at Holiday Sweets is the open door she's seeking.
Theodore Williams III lived his life as Mr. Straight as an Arrow. He remembers Michelle, along with his harsh judgment of her, but she's not what he expected. The choice is his to hold to what he knew or to embrace the new. Perhaps God is opening a door to the future.
Placing God first opens doors never imagined...
All four novellas, 9-12, are available in their entirety in paperback, including the covers on the back, for those who enjoy collecting a series.

Sunday Scripture
Philippians 1:1-7
1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
Colossians 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tuesday Tidbit Variation
I had planned on attending the ANWA conference in September. However, a friend was moving, and I already had plans to attend a LOTR event the following week. Too much going on. Worked out for the best. I’d joined the SM group attending while I’d still be planning to attend. A teacher at American Leadership Academy, Queen Creek K-6 asked for volunteer authors (traditionally published and self-published) to speak to her class for career day. I thought, “Hey, I could do that.” Then I talked to God. It was only a few days away. I was overcome with a sense of calm I can’t explain.
The teacher and I messaged and then texted back and forth. She wanted me to talk to the children about why I decided to become a writer and what the challenges were, along with a bit of advice. When I realized I’d have 40 minutes, my heart stuttered. I’d been thinking 20 minutes. Only panicked for a moment. Just do the next thing.
And so it began. Before I knew it, over a half hour passed. It left time for Q and A. The children (ended up being the whole 6th grade) were attentive and polite and asked great question. They have a roving report segment run by the children, and I was interviewed.
I had a delightful time and would do it again in a heartbeat. My thanks to ALA for the wonderful opportunity. I was reminded of my love for writing.

Sunday Scripture
Ephesians 1:1-6
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Favorite Book Friday
Mail-Order Princess (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Jessica Day George fantasy romance. A Hans Christian Andersen flavor.
The Miller's Daughter (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Julie Wright fantasy romance. Interesting twist on an old fairytale.
The Pebbled Path (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Sarah M. Eden fantasy romance. A fascinating twist in the fairytale.
Black Fern (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Julie Daines fantasy romance. A new to me author, I loved this variation on the fairytale. I'd like to read one of her other books.
Scarlet (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Heather M. Moore fantasy romance. Spooky twist on a fairytale. A Halloween read for me. Remember that I don't do scary, so this was unnerving for me but probably not for most people. I enjoyed it.
So Rare a Power (Happily Ever After Collection Timeless Romance Anthology 20) by Annette Lyon fantasy romance. Another read fit for Halloween. Captivating.
