Genesis 2:3
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Christian stories of broken souls finding God and romance Jesus never promised a life of sweetness and nice; He promises hope. The weakest flame is stronger than the dark.

Flee from Evil (Water's Edge Book 1) by Connie Almony Christian Suspense romance. A page turner. She tackled a difficult topic, forgiveness. It mostly tied up at the end, but a few things were left for the next book.

Light, no matter how dim, always disperses the dark.
You don't need to be a 1,000 watt bulb.
Be a flickering candle.

Slave Stealers: True Accounts of Slave Rescues Then and Now by Timothy Ballard, with forward by Mike Tomlin. Mr. Ballard created O.U.R. Operation Underground Railroad. It's a modern day organization dedicated to freeing modern day slaves. The slave trade is more lucrative than gun running and drugs combined. Millions of people, men, women, and children, are in slavery, right now. Mr. Ballard and all those who work with him are determined to end it. In the book, Mr. Ballard lists a number of organizations that are involved in the battle. Choose one. Many people say that if they'd been alive during the Civil War they would have been an abolitionist. Be one now.

Monday Quote
Posted on social media:
I threw in the towel…
God threw it back
and said,
“Wipe your face.
You’re almost there.”
I have to keep in mind that His definition of “almost there” is a bit sketchy.

Happy New Year!
Need a quick escape?
Happy New Year?
Welcome to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Officer Tim Black moved to Holiday for a change of scene. He never anticipated wanting to change his single status at the same time, but the lady refuses to even date him.
Sandy Foster moved to Holiday to escape her dysfunctional family, changing everything about her life. Finding someone who wanted to share her life holds a never-ending spot on her uninspiring list of New Year's resolutions.
The tiniest misunderstanding and the willingness to set pride aside might make the difference between spending the New Year alone and a Happily Ever After...
