Favorite Book Friday

Finding Her Way Home (Redemption River series book 1) by Linda Goodnight Christian contemporary romance. Sorting through my books, I re-read this book to decide if I wanted to keep the series. It's a keeper.

The Wedding Garden (Redemption River series book 2) by Linda Goodnight Christian contemporary romance. I read this series a decade ago and liked it well enough to keep it. Still a keeper.

A Place to Belong (Redemption River series book 3) by Linda Goodnight Christian contemporary romance. I'm not as much of a fan of this book, mostly because I remember being taken advantage of by people I wanted to trust.

The Christmas Child (Redemption River series book 4) by Linda Goodnight Christian contemporary romance. Such a sweet story.

To see a world in a grain of sand

Sunday Scripture

Esther 2:19-23

And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate. Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him. In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name. And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

Favorite Book Friday

On the Run (Guardian series book 4) by Traci Hunter Abramson contemporary suspense romance. Page turner.

In Harm's Way (Guardian series book 5) by Traci Hunter Abramson. As soon as I finish one of her books, I want the next one.

Hunted (Twisted Fate: Three Stories of Suspense) by Traci Hunter Abramson. The story is stand alone, but Senator and Mrs. Whitmore, from the Undercurrent and Saint Squad Series, made a brief appearance. Great story.

Bridge of Trust (Entangled: Four Suspense Stories) by Traci Hunter Abramson. The story is stand alone, but Charlie Whitmore, from Obsession, made a brief appearance. Love it.

Musical Thursday

Michael Ball played Marius in Les Miserables, when I saw it in London. I love his voice.

This is "Simple Complicated Man" from his newest album:

Sunday Scripture

Esther 2:15-18

Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.

You're Not Enough (And That's Okay) by Allie Beth Stuckey inspirational nonfiction. I was ready for this book, for the reminder that I will never be enough, exactly as God intended. Because of this book, I'm practicing to better place God at the center of my heart and my life. A keeper.

Less than 31 pages to go. It's been slow in this chapter. I'm floundering as much as my characters.

Sunday Scripture

Esther 2:12-14

Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;) Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king's house. In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.

Sunday Scripture

John 20:11-16

...Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked inot the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say uto her, Woman, why weepest though? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mar. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni: which is to say, Master.

Jesus lives.

Sunday is Coming...

How lost the disciples must have felt. Jesus warned them, but they didn't understand. They are in limbo. But Sunday is coming...

Good Friday

Jesus was unfairly tried and pronounced guilty. Those who lusted for His death demanded a murderer be set free in His place. He was whipped and crucified. He died.

How could Friday be good?

If Jesus stayed dead, it would be bad.

Sunday is coming.
