Synopsis and query letter, done...

I finished writing the synopsis for the WIP I'm submitting, and I'm worrying: Did I do the best I know how? I'm happy with the query letter, but uncertain of the synopsis. I'll be using the Desert Rose Mentor Program once more. I'm only allowed to use it twice a year. This will be twice. I'll have made everything the very best I'm able. Then it's in God's hands.

  1. What does the Mentor Program help you with? Just curious! If you need it now, then that's what it's there for -- don't worry about having "used it up" for this year if now is when you need the mentoring.

There's always uncertainty involved when you do something new, especially when results hinge on how well you did. It's hard to be happy with something you don't know if you've done properly -- but the best way to deal with it is just what you are attempting; do your the very best you are capable of and then trust God for the follow-through. I'll be praying it through the process!

  2. Margaret, the Mentor Program provides a published author who volunteers to look over your synopsis or your synopsis and the first three chapters, and provides a critique for a nominal fee. Thanks for the encouragement! I figure if I can do it right once, then I can do it right again, but first I have to do it right. LOL!

    Thanks, Ruth!
